Horton, Vivian N. (29 Dec 1923)
A quiet and impressive ceremony was performed at the Presbyterian
Manse Saturday evening, Dec. 29th, 1923, in which Mr. Floyd Hagie
and Miss Vivian N. Horton were united in the holy bonds of
matrimony, Rev. G. J. Donnell officiating.
The contracting parties were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Zscherntiz of
Neillsville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Horton, of the
Dells Dam, Clark County, Wis. neighborhood. She is an accomplished
and most worthy young lady who is held in highest esteem by a large
company of friends in the vicinity in which she was reared, and
also in Neillsville where she attended school. She was attractively
attired in a dark blue tailored gown, which was very becoming.
The groom is the son of the late Eugene Hagie, formerly of the
Shortville, Clark County neighborhood, and is highly respected by
all who know him. For the present, the young couple will be at home
to their friends at the residence of the bride's parents. The groom
will operate a garage and machine shop, together with a filling
station in the former creamery building near the Dells Dam Church,
which he is fitting up with his machinery suitable for his
business. He is well known as a competent and straight forward
mechanic and business man.
The young couple will have the hearty good will of their many
friends, all of who wish for them a happy and prosperous wedded
life.
